2012 Youth Ag Gala:
The Clover Foundation of Santa Clara County proudly sponsored the 2012 Youth Ag Gala to support Santa Clara County youth on May 19, 2012 at the Santa Clara County Fairgrounds. Over 300 supporters attended this years event. Attendees enjoyed a BBQ dinner served by some of our finest youth in agriculture, as well as line dancing, casino games, bingo, a silent auction and door prizes.
Proceeds of this event benefited the 2012 Santa Clara County Youth Fair along with other youth agriculture related events, scholarships, livestock loans, and projects.
The Clover Foundation is focusing fundraising campaigns aimed more on youth agricultrue education while still being a substantial supporter of the Youth Fair. Also note that the Fairgrounds no longer receives financial support from either the County or the State. As a result, the Youth Fair portion of the County Fair is viewed by the Fairgrounds as a money losing activity. If we are to preserve the features of the Fair for youth agriculture then we need help in finding more funds than we have been able to raise with our Galas. If you work for, or know of, a company that could provide financial Sponsorships for the Youth Fair – please contact them. The future of our County’s agricultural youth depends upon retaining the Youth Fair.
